About Tti Testing Laboratories

Where it started

In 1995, Pakistan had no independent private-sector testing laboratories. Hamed K. Lateef started Tti in two rooms in Lahore because that gap mattered. The company that emerged, Textile Testing International, now Tti Testing Laboratories, became Pakistan’s first private-sector TIC body and has remained the most technically advanced for three decades.

Today, Tti operates from a 25,000 sq ft purpose-built laboratory in Lahore, with offices in Karachi, Faisalabad, and Sialkot. 250+ professionals. 534 accredited methods. 2,000+ tests every working day.

The group

Tti Testing Laboratories is the flagship entity of a six-organisation group:

  • Tti Testing Laboratories: Core consumer testing facility. ISO/IEC 17025 accredited. HQ Lahore. Founded 1995.
  • Tti Inspections Pvt Ltd: On-site inspection body. ISO/IEC 17020 accredited. GAFTA-124 certified.
  • SES (Sustainable Environmental Solutions): Environmental monitoring and consultancy. EPA certified.
  • Fahm-ul-Halal: Halal development and compliance consultancy.

Accreditations

An accreditation is not a certificate on a wall. It is an independently audited declaration that a laboratory meets a specific international standard. When Tti issues a test report backed by ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, that report is legally recognised in over 100 countries.

  • ISO/IEC 17025: Largest PNAC scope in the region. Test reports accepted in 70+ economies through the ILAC/APLAC MRA.
  • ISO/IEC 17020: First in Pakistan for textiles. Inspection body accreditation.
  • US CPSC: First CPSC-approved lab in Pakistan for lead testing (2009) and flammability (2010). Largest CPSC scope in the region.
  • US IAC: First IAC-certified antimicrobial testing lab in Pakistan (2021).
  • EPA: US EPA approved. Largest EPA-approved environmental scope in Pakistan.
  • OGRA: Pakistan’s largest private-sector petroleum testing scope.
  • ZDHC MRSL v3.1: Level 1 approved. 240+ restricted substances. Wastewater testing across all discharge categories.
